[link]Thankfully Cartoon Network has started to promote Green Lantern on their site. I mean, the show debuts in 2 and a half weeks, it's time to spread the word!
So, in addition to CN's mild promotional push, I figured I'd do a little shameless plugging myself:
Interesting facts:
1: Aya, the ship's artificial intelligence is voiced by Grey DeLisle, who played Azula on Avatar!
2: The Guardian named Ganthet is played by Ian Ambercrombie, the voice actor who portrays Senator Palpatine in Star Wars: The Clone Wars
3: One of the other Guardians is named Appa. Appa Ali Apsa to be exact. No relation to the air bison in Avatar though. Neither of them wear power rings, for the record.
4. Green Lantern Kilowog is played by Kevin Michael Richardson, also known as Tyro, Haru's earth bending father in Avatar!
5. Red Lantern Razer is voiced by Jason Spisak, who also played Lux Bonteri on Clone Wars
6. The overseas animation is delivered by CGCG in Taiwan, who also do an outstanding job on Clone Wars.
7. Did I mention that Guardians don't wear power rings?
So there you have it. You take two parts Avatar, one part Clone Wars, and mix in a lot of Bruce Timm and you get Green Lantern the Animated Series.
I will pass on the word, two weeks and counting.
Congratulations!
