I personally can't wait for the fans to see it, because i've been biting my tongue about season three much too long.
But being that it's APRIL FOOLS, I won't say something like "Let the countdown begin!"
This has been an APRIL FOOLS DAY prank.

"You little peasant."
Giancarlo/Fierymonk has not posted here in awhile, not much since the April Fool's joke gone awry, so please don't go Avatar-fan-gone-berserk, k? He may never come back! Be cool.
If you want to know when S3 begins keep an eye on Avatarspirit.net as they will announce it as soon as they hear word and they have credible sources within Nick to say so with great certainty.
Until then, please leave Giancarlo alone. This is an art website, not an Avatar fan webite. We're all dying to know about S3 but this isn't the place to find that information.
PS: Most educated, best guesses say 'The Awakening' (the first episode in S3) will air some time in the August-September 2007 range. But again that's just a guess.
Heh, he vanished after the April Fools incident...maybe he's taking some time to redeem himself. Or maybe he got mobbed.
Maybe someone recognized him at a Starbucks when he was getting an iced mocha latte and showed their appreciation for 'the joke' personally? Eeeek!
What's the holdup, I wonder? They said on Scifi that they've already got most of the eps written and a good half animated or something like that.
I will not wait until August. That's too long to wait for TV and too short to wait for college.
ASN Interview with the Animation Gods: [link]
So far as I can tell from various sources it's really not up to Giancarlo, Mike or Bryan. Mike and Bryan had anticipated a spring airdate but it didn't come to pass.
You are right, the episodes are on schedule and everything in production seems to be running smoothly.
It's really in the hands of Nick execs. Why have they delayed it for so long? Who knows? Some have speculated they are doing so deliberately to give Avatar a 'Fall Line-Up' airdate. Why that is so significant and beneficial to Avatar? I do not know.
At the 'Anime Boston' event in April Avatar fans approached Nick Mag reps and asked about S3. (Mike and Bryan were not there) While they wouldn't say specifically what the airdate was they did say Avatar fans would have time to finish the last 'Harry Potter' book before Avatar S3 airs.
The final book in the 'Harry Potter' series will be released July 21st.
In the interview with ASN Mike and Bryan did not have a S3 airdate but it was implied that it would probably not be as late as October.
This leaves a window of July 22nd through September 30th.
(Oh yes, we are all just that pathetic to analyze it in such depth as we do love the Avatar...'my precious, my precious')
Some close to the source have said 'it would be very good for Avatar to have a Fall airdate.'
I don't know why but that is what has lead most of us to conclude...September.
Hopefully the last DVD in S2 will be released soon after May 22nd (the release date for Book 2:3) to help ease the AWS pain.
